  5.    Word processors do a good job of managing larger works - reports, papers,
  6. theses. What most people need is an application or DA for handling small bits
  7. of information quickly and easily. Enter the aptly-named FlashWrite ][ DA, the 
  8. shareware successer to Apple's own NotePad DA.

  10.      Better than a word processor for small amounts of information:
  11.      *launches faster, and launches with a keypress thanks to a control panel
  12.      *doesn't require opening any files. uses pages instead
  13.      *new pages and changes to old pages are automatically saved when you quit
  14.      *only uses 20K, and can be used in System 6 without MultiFinder
  15.   
  16.      Advantages over NotePad DA:
  17.      *unlimited number of resizable pages with up to 32,000 characters per page
  18.      *can use any font or style, with point sizes from 9 to 24
  19.      *pages can be printed, text files imported, and text exported with the
  20.       creator code of your favorite word processor.
  21.      *menu for switching between pages. pages are named
  22.      *lightning-fast word count
  23.      *word find and find again

  25.      I use FlashWrite every time I turn on my Mac. I use it to keep track of 
  26. books, movies, CDs, and software I'm interested in. One page stores the serial 
  27. numbers for my electronics, one has ftp sitess and user names, and I use another
  28. to store interesting .sigs. For the person who wanted a monospaced text editor
  29. for online messaging, use FlashWrite with the font for a given page set to
  30. Monaco.

  32. Easy Envelopes Plus. This latest release is 32 bit clean, Quadra cache compatible, and has Andrew's new address.
